What is a Swedish Fire Candle?
A Swedish fire candle (also known as a log candle or Finnish torch) is a single log that has been cut with a chainsaw into segments and used as a self-contained fire. The cuts allow air to flow through the centre, creating a long-lasting, controlled flame ideal for cooking, warmth, or atmosphere.
Our fire candles are crafted from locally felled hardwood — primarily oak and ash sourced from our tree surgery work across Wirral. Using wood that would otherwise go to waste, each candle is a sustainable product with real character.
They make excellent gifts and are perfect for garden parties, camping trips, outdoor weddings, and winter fire pits. Each candle burns for 2–4 hours depending on size and species.
